Installing the App

  1. Download the PrivadoVPN app for Windows on our Software Page.

  2. Install the app on your Windows computer. If Windows asks whether you want to give PrivadoVPN access to Windows Firewall, be sure to click “Allow.”

Setting up the App

  1. When the app first opens, you’ll be given an opportunity to sign in. If you haven’t yet created an account, you can do so by clicking here.

  2. Your PrivadoVPN app is now set up and ready to use.

  3. You can change the VPN protocol you use by going to your Settings menu and selecting the VPN Protocol option. That will let you choose from several protocols depending on how you intend to use your VPN. For more information on VPN protocols and which one is right for you, take a look at our Secure Encryption Protocols page.

Connect to a VPN Server

  1. You can easily connect to the nearest or fastest VPN server by clicking on the keyhole icon in the center of your screen. This will automatically choose the server with the fastest speeds for your physical location.

  2. If you want to enable auto-connect or specify which server you automatically connect to, you can do so in the Settings menu under the Auto Connect section.

  3. To connect to a different server, you can simply choose the server you want from the list at the bottom of your home screen and click on that location. You will be disconnected from your current server and connected to the new one.

  4. If you want to disconnect from any VPN server, you just have to press the keyhole icon again and the app will disconnect you.
