Connect from a Country with Internet Restrictions and Censorship

Privado apps have an intelligent system in place, which automatically picks the best settings for a particular country. However, if our default settings fail to connect for you, we recommend adjusting your app parameters manually to OPEN VPN + TCP + Scramble. Please check below how to enable it for any device. 

 

Windows
Mac
Android
iOS

Windows
 

Please make the following additional changes to connect successfully, (this only needs to be done once; after that, you will connect by 'Click to Connect' button in the app):
 

1. Click 'Settings'.
2. Select the 'VPN protocols' tab, and then OPEN VPN + TCP + tick the Scramble box under it. Click 'Save'.



3. Reconnect the VPN.

 

 

Mac

 

Please make the following additional changes to connect successfully, (this only needs to be done once; after that, you will connect by 'Click to Connect' button in the app):
 

1. Click 'Settings'.
2. Select the 'VPN protocols' tab, and then OPEN VPN + TCP + tick the Scramble box under it. Click 'Save'.
